What we do

Our Projects

WAM Organization is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Kenya, dedicated to transforming communities through comprehensive and sustainable initiatives. With a multifaceted approach, WAM focuses on five core areas: health promotion and prevention, youth, children, and women mentorship, economic empowerment, improved livelihood, and a holistic range of HIV services encompassing biomedical, structural, and behavioral interventions.

At WAM, we are committed to fostering health and well-being among vulnerable communities, particularly children, youth, and women. Through mentorship programs, we empower individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead fulfilling lives and contribute positively to society.
Our efforts extend beyond personal growth, as we also strive to strengthen local economies and livelihoods. By promoting economic empowerment, we believe in unlocking the potential of communities to thrive and flourish.

Additionally, WAM is dedicated to combating HIV and AIDS on multiple fronts, incorporating biomedical advancements, addressing structural barriers, and promoting behavioral changes that lead to healthier lifestyles.

As a holistic organization, we emphasize prevention and proactive measures in all our endeavors, ensuring that communities not only receive support but also the tools to maintain and improve their well-being in the long term. Together, we are building a healthier, stronger, and more resilient future for Kenya and its people.

Health Promotion and Prevention

WAM Organization takes health promotion and prevention seriously, employing a range of impactful activities to empower communities towards better well-being. Through community involvement and mobilization, we establish a strong foundation for sustainable health initiatives.

Our wellness mentorship programs provide guidance and support to individuals, fostering a culture of positive health choices and personal growth. Counseling services further enhance mental and emotional well-being, helping individuals navigate life challenges.

Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk reduction strategies, we proactively address health threats, both infectious and non-communicable. WAM is dedicated to preventing and controlling alcohol and substance abuse, recognizing the profound impact these issues have on communities.
Reproductive health education is a key focus area, equipping individuals with essential knowledge for making informed decisions about their health and family planning.

Facilitating health clubs and behavior change groups, we create spaces for open dialogue and peer support, promoting healthier habits collectively.

WAM Organization extends its efforts to the prevention and control of both communicable and non-communicable diseases, emphasizing comprehensive healthcare solutions.

By mitigating the effects of drugs and substance abuse, we provide hope and rehabilitation to those affected, fostering a path towards recovery and a brighter future.

Through these diverse health promotion and prevention activities, WAM Organization remains committed to uplifting communities and creating lasting positive change in the realm of health and well-being.

Youth, Children and Women Mentorship

At WAM Organization, we recognize the immense potential of youth, children, and women in shaping a brighter future. Through our mentorship programs, we aim to empower and uplift these vital segments of society, guiding them towards personal growth and success.

Our youth mentorship initiatives provide a supportive and nurturing environment for young individuals to explore their talents, discover their passions, and develop essential life skills. We offer guidance in academic pursuits, career planning, and character building, fostering well-rounded and confident young leaders.

For children, our mentorship programs focus on instilling values, promoting creativity, and encouraging curiosity. We provide a safe space for children to express themselves, learn, and engage in meaningful activities that nurture their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
Women mentorship remains a core pillar of our organization, recognizing the critical role women play in society. We offer mentorship and support to women, empowering them to overcome challenges, pursue their aspirations, and become agents of positive change in their communities.

Through these mentorship initiatives, WAM Organization is committed to shaping a generation of empowered and resilient youth, nurturing the potential of children, and uplifting women to drive progress and prosperity in their lives and communities.

Through personalized guidance, mentorship sessions, and skill-building workshops, we aim to equip youth, children, and women with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and thrive in their personal and professional lives. At WAM Organization, we believe that investing in mentorship is investing in a brighter and more promising future for individuals and society as a whole.

Economic Empowerment

WAM Organization's economic empowerment programs are designed to uplift individuals and communities by providing them with the necessary resources, knowledge, and skills to achieve financial independence and sustainable livelihoods. These programs encompass a range of initiatives aimed at fostering entrepreneurship, vocational training, and income-generating activities.

Through our economic empowerment programs, we offer training workshops on financial literacy, business management, and marketing strategies, enabling individuals to start and grow their own businesses. We also facilitate access to microfinance and small business loans, empowering entrepreneurs to invest in their ventures and expand their operations.
Furthermore, WAM Organization actively supports women's economic empowerment, recognizing the pivotal role women play in community development. We prioritize gender-sensitive approaches and initiatives that promote women's equal access to resources and opportunities. By fostering economic independence and self-reliance, we believe these programs contribute to the overall well-being and resilience of the communities we serve.

In addition to our economic empowerment programs, WAM Organization engages in community capacity building, fostering entrepreneurship networks, and facilitating market linkages to create sustainable economic opportunities. By empowering individuals and communities with the tools for economic self-sufficiency, we aim to create a lasting impact on poverty reduction and overall community development.

HIV Services

WAM Organization is dedicated to comprehensive HIV services, covering biomedical, structural, and behavioral aspects. Our biomedical services include HIV testing and counseling, antiretroviral therapy (ART) provision, and prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programs. We prioritize access to quality healthcare and medication to improve the health and well-being of individuals living with HIV.

On the structural front, we work towards reducing social and economic barriers faced by those affected by HIV. This includes promoting policies that protect the rights of people living with HIV, advocating for stigma reduction, and ensuring access to education and employment opportunities.
Regarding behavioral aspects, WAM implements prevention and behavior change programs, offering educational workshops, awareness campaigns, and peer support groups. We also focus on risk assessment and risk reduction strategies to empower individuals in making informed decisions about their sexual health.

Through our comprehensive HIV services, we strive to create a society that supports, empowers, and provides equal opportunities for those affected by HIV, working towards the goal of an HIV-free generation.
